Leila Haddad writes about pregnancy wellness, family relationships, emotional preparation, and the cultural dimensions of becoming a parent.
With Moroccan and Arab roots, Leila grew up in a family environment where pregnancy and early parenthood were often supported by a wider circle of relatives, neighbors, and friends. That experience gave her a lasting appreciation for the role community can play during major life transitions.
Before establishing her career in the United States, Leila worked in education and community-focused programs, where she became interested in the way clear and respectful information can empower people to make decisions with greater confidence.
Her writing often explores the parts of pregnancy that are difficult to measure but deeply important: feeling supported, preparing emotionally for change, maintaining relationships, and navigating the balance between personal preferences and family expectations.
Leila is also interested in the way traditions evolve. She enjoys looking at how families can honor cultural practices while still making choices that work for their own circumstances and values.
She is married and has two children, and her family life continues to influence much of what she writes about. She particularly enjoys observing how different generations can approach pregnancy and parenting with very different assumptions, yet often share the same underlying concerns.
Outside of work, Leila enjoys reading, architecture, travel, hosting family dinners, and collecting recipes from different regions of Morocco.
At Aura Baby, she writes with a thoughtful, balanced voice about maternal wellbeing, family support, emotional preparation, and the broader experience of pregnancy.
What Leila covers:
Pregnancy wellness, emotional preparation, family support, cultural perspectives on pregnancy, relationships, and maternal wellbeing.
